WR2020 E-news – July 7th, 2009

Wheat Ridge 2020 and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) of
Colorado are pleased to invite you to a Community Conversation on Growth.
The Colorado Grassroots Outreach Committee has received a grant to help facilitate
conversations in support of a long-term outreach campaign that will:

• Increase awareness of how growth can be managed effectively
  to enhance neighborhoods and communities;
• Increase awareness of growth options, particularly
  smart growth options;
• Enhance the understanding of consumer preference and
  public sentiment regarding growth; and
• Help growing communities in the state reach out to,
  and understand the public sentiment to work more effectively together on
  growth issues.

WR2020 is excited to be the community partner in offering
an opportunity to learn from highly regarded professionals and engage in
a dialogue about the future of our community. The forum will also feature
interactive sessions, in-depth questions and answers and electronic polling.
We invite you to participate in this dialogue about shaping the future of
Wheat Ridge.

you can contribute in the plan for a vibrant and sustainable community.

Please invite your friends and neighbors to an evening enjoying
the tastes and flavors found in Wheat Ridge. Local restaurants and food and
beverage vendors will be featured in a fun and entertaining evening at the

more about sponsorship opportunities or to volunteer at the event. If you are
interested in helping to plan the event, the Wines & Dines committee meets
on the third Tuesday of each month at local restaurants.

Make your voice heard at Envision Wheat Ridge on July 14^th

Please consider attending the next Envision Wheat Ridge open house on July
14th. This is a great opportunity to make your voice heard and learn about
the next steps in the long-range plan for the City of Wheat Ridge’s
future. This is a critical point as the comprehensive plan process moves into
policy
recommendations. Please help us ensure the Neighborhood Revitalization Strategies
are reflected on July 14th, 6:30-8:00pm, at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center.
