Wheat Ridge 2020 - Advancing Wheat Ridge as a vibrant and sustainable community

City of Wheat Ridge Investigates Improvement Opportunities on Wadsworth Boulevard

The City of Wheat Ridge and Colorado Department of Transportation announced plans to conduct a Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study to investigate improvement opportunities to Wadsworth Boulevard from W. 35th Avenue to W. 48th Avenue.  Wheat Ridge has teamed with multiple community organizations, special interest groups, and local and state agency representatives to provide input on the PEL Study.

We invite you to attend the Open House that will be held at Wheat Ridge City Hall on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.  Citizens are encouraged to attend this open house to learn more about the project, get information on the anticipated schedule, and to provide feedback on the project.

When:  April 23, 2014
Time:   5 – 7 p.m.
Where: Wheat Ridge City Hall, 7500 W. 29th Ave., City Council Chambers

Over time, increased traffic volumes and economic growth have contributed to the pressure for Wadsworth Boulevard to move more traffic. The need to move automobile traffic has reduced the safety of other modes of travel such as walking, biking, and public transit throughout the corridor.

The PEL Study will lead to a seamless decision making process that will promote efficient and cost-effective solutions and environmental stewardship, streamline project implementation, and minimize duplication of efforts.
