Become a Member

Thank you for your interest in Wheat Ridge 2020.  One of the goals of Wheat Ridge 2020 is to have voting membership turnover every year to get new people involved in Wheat Ridge 2020.
 
The first step is to become a general member. If you support our mission for a vibrant and sustainable Wheat Ridge, sign up to receive WR2020 E-News and information and get your name added as a Member of WR2020. Get involved and come to WR2020 events. If you would like to be considered for voting membership, please notify the staff through the feedback form or call the office. They will ensure you get information about the nominations process when it takes place each fall.

WR2020 members are residents, property owners, business owners, employers, employees and all sorts of Wheat Ridge stakeholders. Voting members are responsible for attending the annual meeting, voting on the nominations presented and telling others in the community about WR2020 programs and opportunities. 

Eligibility Requirements for Voting Membership
According to Wheat Ridge 2020 By-laws, the following are eligibility requirements for Voting Membership:

  • Current resident, property owner or business owner or employee within the city limits of Wheat Ridge, Colorado;
  • Owner or representative of a regional employer or institution;
  • Representative of a local or regional civic, educational or non-profit group; or
  • Representative of a foundation. 

Composition of the Voting Membership
At least 75% of Voting Members shall reside or own property or a business within the city limits of Wheat Ridge. The Voting Membership shall include representatives from the following categories in the proportions determined by the Board of Directors to be appropriate: 

  • Residents and property owners;
  • Owners or employees of local small business;
  • Owners and representatives of regional employers or institutions representatives of civic, educational or non-profit groups; and
  • Representatives of foundations.
