Calling all Gardens

Wheat Ridge 2020’s Garden Tour Committee is looking for gardens in Wheat Ridge to be included in our second annual Wheat Ridge Garden Tour on Saturday, June 16, 2012.  We are looking for gardens of all shapes and sizes, from small-scale urban gardens to larger country gardens.  Last year the tour featured gardens offering color packed perennials, succulents, exotics, koi ponds, and spectacular yard art.

If you are interested in having your garden be considered as a part of this exciting new event (or can recommend a garden), please contact Milly at 303 319-0690.

Request for Qualifications/Proposals for Marketing Efforts Along 38th Avenue

Wheat Ridge 2020 has recently released a Request for Qualifications and Request for Professional Services Proposal for a Marketing and Branding Study for West 38th Avenue "Main Street."  The target area is 38th Avenue between Wadsworth Boulevard and Sheridan Boulevard in Wheat Ridge.  Developing a Branding and Marketing Plan is seen as a critical first step to achieving consensus on an identity for the commercial district, telling the story of “place” for 38th Avenue, identifying business markets and providing a related corridor marketing strategy to communicate the new brand/identity.

Funding was recently made available to seek consultant services for the marketing and branding project.  WR2020 will act as the manager of this professional services contract with the contractor reporting directly to WR2020.   In addition, WR2020 will provide support to the selected contractor in preparing meeting notices, their distribution and room reservations, identification of stakeholders to participate in the project, data on corridor businesses and services, and use of the WR2020 offices for consultant meeting space in the project area.

This RFQ/RFP is seeking to identify consultants for this branding and marketing work.  If your firm is interested in responding to this solicitation, please download the RFQ-RFP W 38th Ave Marketing and Branding packet

Submission deadline is Tuesday, March 6, 2012 NOON.
