Transit Alliance is now accepting applications for the Fall 2012 Citizens’ Academy. Applications due by August 24th at 5 PM.
Have you ever wanted to learn more about how transit is integrated into the successful and sustainable development of a community? This is an excellent opportunity for community leaders looking to make future contributions to improving the quality of life in Metro Denver. The program will host a maximum of 50 participants over 7 weeks to discuss the complex linkages between transportation, community development, and sustainability.
The cornerstone of this program is that participants will take their new knowledge and put it into action. Each session is designed to be very interactive with participants being asked to follow-up each session with a homework assignment. Participants will spend a portion of each class designing their individual action plan that they will implement in their community upon completing the Academy.
Sessions will be Wednesday evenings from 6-9pm for seven consecutive weeks running September 12 through October 24th. For more information, visit the Transit Alliance website or call 303-880-8874.
