Wheat Ridge Strikes Gold with the addition of The Gold Line. Part of the RTD fasTracks program, the 11.2-mile electric commuter rail line is scheduled to be completed in 2016. The Gold line route will begin at Denver’s Union Station and its final destination will be the Ward road station in Wheat Ridge. This location was a stop on the “Spotlight on Wheat Ridge” Realtor tour that took place last month. Over 50 Realtor s toured Wheat Ridge residential neighborhoods including the area surrounding the future station. A stop was made at City Hall to hear key staff members and Mayor Jerry DiTullio discuss opportunities in Wheat Ridge.
WR2020 would again like to thank the tour sponsors 1st Bank, First Integrity Title Company, and RMD Signs for their generous support and Jefferson County Association of Realtors for their continued support.
The event was a huge success.

What’s that saying? One man’s junk is another man’s treasure or is it one man’s trash is another man’s treasure? Either way you can find some great deals at community garage sales.
There is good news if you’re planning a yard or garage sale this summer, the required permit is free! You will need to stop by Wheat Ridge City Hall’s welcome desk to pick up the permit and have it recorded. They are open Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and are located at 7500 W. 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
If you are planning to have more than one sale this summer you can use just one permit. Each sale may be 3 days in length and you may not exceed 4 sales. There is one weather postponement allowed with weather verification.
Tips for a great weekend sale:
- In most cities it is illegal to place your private signs on a public “right of way”.
- Advertise on the internet, It’s FREE and there are many sites to choose from. Here is one Link
- Remember to take your signs down as a courtesy to you neighbors.
Good luck selling and Happy shopping.

The city of Wheat Ridge is celebrating its 41st Birthday this August. This year’s Carnation Festival will be held on August 20th and 21st, 2010. The celebration will be at Anderson Park located at 44th and Field in Wheat Ridge. The festivities will include Live Music, Food, and a Parade on 38th Ave. More information about the Carnation Festival and how to become a sponsor is available at their official site.
WR2020 will be building a float for this year’s parade and would welcome your participation. In addition to the construction of the float we are in need of transportation support, individuals with creative design abilities, and fun people to escort the float. It is a great opportunity to be a part of this exciting community event. Please call the office and speak to Kat for more information at 720-259-1030 or email reception
